This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to investigate the matter expeditiously and file the final report in connection with Crime No.4 of 2018 on the file of the respondent, All Women Police Station, Avinashi, Tiruppur District, in accordance with law.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the victim is four months pregnant.

3. Hence, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
