The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.17 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused was found in illegal possession of 10 liters of ID arrack. Hence the complaint.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that earlier on 23.01.2023, this Court had granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.1199 of 2023 in Crime No.17 of 2023 with certain conditions. Thereafter on 20.03.2023, the petitioner has moved Crl.M.P.No.3938 of 2023, before this Court, to extend the time to execute the sureties and comply with the conditions and time was extended for further two weeks from the date of receipt of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

jai copy of that order, even then also, the petitioner has not complied with the conditions imposed by this Court. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side), this Court is inclined to grant further two weeks time from the date of receipt of copy of this order to comply with the conditions imposed by this Court on 20.03.2023, made in Crl.M.P.No.3938 of 2023 in Crl.O.P.No.1199 of 2023.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
