Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation at 20.04.2024 as per the provisions at the Street Vendors (Protection of livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014, made for granting permission/certificate of vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop at Office of the Chief Administrative Officer Construction Organization, Egmore, Chennai - 600 008 compound right side Platform, Opposite to Dinathanthi Office wherein selling Juice, tea, coffee and food items by using LPG Gas Stove. 1/4

ORDER

Heard Mr.K.Prabhakaran, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.Aswini Devi.K, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is eking out his livelihood by running a bunk shop at the petition mentioned site. He seeks consideration of his representation, dated 20.04.2024 under the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's request and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The issues are left to the discretion of the first respondent. 2/4

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
