PRAYER : This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide police protection for enabling the petitioner to receive her belongings from the 3rd respondent pursuant to her representation dated 10.05.2023.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide police protection for enabling the petitioner to receive her belongings from the 3rd respondent pursuant to her representation dated 10.05.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, 3rd respondent is the petitioner's father. Against the will and wish of the petitioner, 3rd respondent fixed marriage with one Udhaya Kumar. Their marital relationship was not in cordial, therefore, she left the matrimonial home and living separately. However, 3rd respondent is giving trouble to the petitioner and making life threat not only to the petitioner and to one Sridhar and his family members. He further submitted that, 3rd respondent is in possession of her documents including Educational Certificates. Therefore, this petition.

3. When the matter is taken up on 18.05.2023, this Court directed the 3rd respondent to appear before this Court on 06.06.2023. However, today, 3rd respondent is not present. Petitioner is present. 2/4

4. Mr.M.R.Elavarasan, learned Counsel submitted that, he wants to file Vakalat on behalf of the 3rd respondent. However, considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that, filing of the Vakalat is not essential.

5. In view of the above submissions, this Court directs the 1& 2nd respondents to conduct enquiry on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2023 and take appropriate legal action including, providing police protection to the petitioner, depending on its necessity.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 06.06.2023 sma 3/4
