ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed challenging the appointment orders issued to the respondents 6 to 8 vide proceedings in No. E2127/2015, dated 27.05.2016, E2127/2015 dated 15.06.2016 and E2127/2015(1) dated 27.05.2016 and to issue re-notification for filling up Watchman Post in Agricultural Engineering Department in Erode District.
2. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner, Vijayakumari has studied upto 10th standard and registered with the fifth respondent Employment Exchange. The first respondent notified the second respondent to fill 87 vacancies of watchman posts in the Agricultural Engineering Department, with two vacancies earmarked for Erode District, to be filled through the Employment Exchange. Accordingly, the fourth respondent notified the vacancies, received applications, and appointed respondents 6 to 8. However the
petitioner was not selected. According to the petitioner, the selection process was arbitrary, favouring respondents 6 to 8. Aggrieved by the selection process, the petitioner has preferred this Writ Petition.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the notification was not issued in accordance with the rules, and the respondent has failed to comply with the procedural aspects of various G.Os while notifying the vacancies, due to which, the petitioner has been denied a fair chance being eligible for the said post.
4. The learned counsel for the respondent submit that the petitioner was overaged at the time of the interview and that the Employment Exchange did not sponsor the petitioner's name for the Watchman post.
5. Heard both sides and perused the records.
6. The primary contention of the petitioner is that the notification was improper and that the Employment Exchange ought to have sponsored the petitioner's name. However, when specifically questioned by this Court, the learned counsel for the petitioner failed to identify specific aspects that would make the notification improper, instead reiterated that the petitioner should have been sponsored by the Employment Exchange. On the basis of the said
argument, the impugned appointment orders cannot be set aside and the Writ Petition deserves to be dismissed.
7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. It is open for the petitioner to apply for any post of which she is qualified for. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. K.SURENDER, J.
