ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 14.11.2017.

2. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Raja,learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.The grievance of the petitioner is that he made a representation to the first repondent on 01.11.2014, seeking to grant him the bonus increment, which according to the petitioner is due to him. But, the same have been rejected by the second respondent vide proceedings dated 26.10.2017. Hence, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 14.11.2017. Since, no orders have been passed on the said appeal, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

5.In view of the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose is going to be served in seeking counter affidavit from the respondents. Hence, after hearing the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
