O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to consider the Statuary Review Petition filed by the writ petitioner under Section 154 of Tamilnadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (hereinafter called as 'the Act') on 27th July, 2016 and dispose of the same.

2. The writ petitioner was imposed with the punishment of stoppage of increment for two years without cumulative effect and challenging the order of punishment, he preferred a revision petition under Section 153 of the Act. The same was also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

rejected by the first respondent on 30th May, 2016. Thus, the writ petitioner filed a review petition under Section 154 of the Act before the first respondent on 27th July, 2016.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that no decision has been taken since the second respondent has not appeared in the review petition. In this view of the matter, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to take the review petition for enquiry and after conducting enquiry by affording opportunity to all the parties concerned, pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
