O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to grant police protection to the petitioner's family at Kaniyalur Street, Thiruvarur Town, Thiruvarur, from the threat perception from Ramadoss and A.K.Rajendran/the respondents 3 and 4 herein, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the private respondents, notice to the private respondents/R3 & R4 is dispensed with.

4. Prima Facie, dispute between the petitioner's father and the third respondent has been decided in O.S.No.1 of 2011 on the file of the District Court, Thiruvaur. Further appeal suit in A.S.No.161 of 2017,

filed by the third respondent was also dismissed by this Court on 22.11.2017. It appears that the third respondent with the help of the fourth respondent has interfered with the possession of the petitioner's property.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2024 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice and giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the private respondents.

6. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
