in OP.Nos.68 & 69 of 2020 M.SUNDAR, J Mr.V.Perumal, learned counsel for applicant and Mr.Swarnam J.Rajagopalan, learned counsel for respondents in both the captioned applications are before this Court.

2. Both learned counsel submit that captioned applications is one under Section 29-A(5) of A and C Act. Both learned counsel submit in unison in one voice that the prayer for extension of time qua Arbitral Tribunal for making the award may please be extended by six(6) months. It is also submitted by both learned counsel that either of the parties or the Arbitral Tribunal are responsible for the delay and the delay was owing to circumstances beyond control of all concerned. This includes the intervening Corona Virus pandemic and consequent lock down, which is collectively referred to as 'Covid 19' situation is the common say of both learned counsel.

3. To be noted, Arbitral Tribunal was constituted in and by an order dated 04.08.2020 being a common order made in OP.Nos.68 and 69 of 2020. 1/3

4. In the light of the common request, captioned applications are answered in the affirmative and time for Arbitral Tribunal for making the award is extended by Six(6) months from today, i.e., extended up to 28.12.2022.

Captioned applications ordered on above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
