ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned I- Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai, to complete the trial in S.C.No.202 of 2019 within a specific time.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the summons were issued in the year 2019 and the examination of the witnesses were commenced on 26.03.2021 and so far only 6 witnesses have been examined out of the 13 witnesses. Hence, he seeks for a direction to the trial Court for the speedy disposal of the case.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

4. In such view of the matter, the learned I-Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai, is directed to conduct the trial on day to day basis and dispose of the case as expeditiously.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
