Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 16.03.2016 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to disburse the flood relief to the affected people belongs to Petthikuppam Panchayat, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The grievance of the petitioner is that the relief announced by the Tamil Nadu Government for the benefit of the flood / heavy rain affected victims of December, 2015, of Rs.5,000/- has not been disbursed in the Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur District, while it has so been done in other areas. A representation is also made on behalf of the residents on 16.03.2016.

2.We, thus, call upon the first respondent to look into the grievance of the petitioner in a representative capacity and take necessary action within a maximum period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of the order.

3.Writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
