ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondent to release the petitioner's 700 paddy bags weighing 40 Kgs each within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court, by considering the petitioner's written representation dated 04.04.2026.
2. Heard Mr.Elayaraj Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. At the outset, learned Government Advocate for respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2026 would be considered by appropriate authority in accordance with law, within a time period to be fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the above, taking into consideration the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2026, on its own merits, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons, within a
period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
