2/5 Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents particularly the Revenue Divisional Officer, Villupuram, The Revenue Tahsildar, Vikaravandi, Villupuram District, The Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Vikravandi, Villupuram District, the 3 to 5th respondents herein to initiate action for the transfer of Patta Nos.144, 113, 1096, 201, 27, 855, 726, 497, 267, 499 and 493, now existing in the name of Masthan Basheer to the petitioner name on online transfer application dated 06.05.2019 and the reminder application of the petitioner on 11.05.2023 for the transfer of patta in respect of the old Survey No.200, New Survey Sub Divisions 200/1A to 200/2D (totally 15 survey nos. ) in an extent of 23 Acres 31 Cents in Vazhudavur Village, Vikravandi Taluk, For Petitioner : Mr.K.Balakrishnan For Respondents 1 to 5: Mr.Karthick Janarthanan Govt.Advocate.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents, particularly, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Villupuram, The Revenue Tahsildar, Vikaravandi, Villupuram District, The Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Vikravandi, Villupuram District, who are Respondents 3 to 5 herein, to initiate action for transfer of Patta Nos.144, 113, 1096, 201, 27, 855, 726, 497, 267, 499 and 493, now existing in the name of Masthan Basheer to the name of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner has submitted an online application on 06.05.2019, and thereafter a reminder, dated 11.05.2023 for the abovesaid transfer of Patta numbers.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer has called for a report from fourth and fifth respondents, but there has been no action taken.

4. Therefore, a direction is issued to the third respondent to examine the online application, dated 06.05.2019, and also the reminder, dated 11.05.2023, submitted by the petitioner, and pass necessary orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also anybody else concerned, particularly, Masthan Basheer, who is the sixth respondent herein, residing at No.7/3, Palla Theru, Kuttaikarai, Cuddalore Fort, Cuddalore District, on or before 31.08.2023.
