ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent / police to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2023 and also to give police protection to the petitioner.

It is the case of the petitioner that he married the fourth respondent on 12.05.2003 who belongs to a different caste, without the consent of both the parents. It is his further say that from the wedlock, two female children were born. Owing to the inter-caste marriage, the fourth respondent got employment opportunities. Due to misunderstanding and also connivance with her sister's son, divorce petition was filed by the fourth respondent in HMOP No. 664 of 2022. In view of the above events, he made a representation before the first respondent to protect him from the harassment, which has not been considered till date. Hence the present petition has been filed.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side).

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that if two weeks' time is granted, the first respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders.

In light of the submission made by learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
