Mr. R. Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to grant silica sand dealer license/registration certificate in their favour in respect of 1.47.0 hectares, out of 1.96.8 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Hectares of Patta lands, comprised in Survey Nos.214/4, 214/6B, 214/7, 214/8(P) & 214/10 situated in Eguvarpalayam Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District, by considering their dealer license application dated 02.01.2017. 3.Mr. K.Ramakrishna Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2017, the 1st respondent has not considered the same and passed any order so far.
4. Mr. R. Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent, to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.01.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
