O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.06.2020 seeking grant of domestic electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at Door No.11 A, Ramapuram Ramasamy Street, Saidapet, Chennai - 600 015.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made representation dated 15.06.2020 to the first respondent seeking to grant domestic electricity service connection to his house https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

situated at Door No.11 A, Ramapuram Ramasamy Street, Saidapet, Chennai, and since the same has not yet been considered, has filed this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendancy of this writ petition, the petitioner passed away leaving behind his wife as his legal heir and she is residing in the said premises. Hence, this Court may grant liberty to the petitioner's wife to make application seeking electricity connection for the said premises. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent raise no serious objection for this Court considering the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

5.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. Liberty is granted to the petitioner's wife to make application seeking electricity connection for the aforesaid premises. If any such application is made, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
