ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adal Padal) in the event of Pallipalayam Arulmigu Sree Chinna Mariamman Temple Festival at Anthiyur Taluk, Erode District on 07.06.2018 between 6.00 PM and 11.00 PM by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2018.

2. The prayer made in the writ petition cannot be accepted for two reasons. Firstly, when the petitioner has not properly approached the respondent seeking permission to conduct the cultural programme as a part of the temple festival, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Secondly, when the cultural programme in connection with the temple festival has been scheduled to be held on 7.6.2018, a representation has been made to the respondent, that too, by registered post on 2.6.2018, which must have reached only on 4.6.2018. short time, the petitioner cannot come to this Court without knowing what happened to his representation. Therefore, the writ petition stands dismissed. When the petitioner approaches the authority with a fresh representation, that shall be looked into on merits. No costs.
