The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 85, 115(2) of BNS Act in 1/5

Crime No.40 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant and the first petitioner are husband and wife. Since the first petitioner and the in-laws of the defacto complainant demanded huge dowry from the defacto complainant by using filthy language, the present case has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court dated 24.04.2025, the matter has been resolved between the parties by way of mediation.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that pursuant to the order dated 24.04.2025 passed by this Court, the matter was referred to mediation and the issue has been amicably settled between the parties. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the defacto complainant agreed to withdraw the complaint registered in Crime No.40 of 2025 on the file of The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Hosur. 2/5

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 6.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either sides, it is seen that the matter has been amicably resolved between the parties and a copy of the settlement agreement has also been filed before this Court.

7.In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of and the defacto complainant shall withdraw the FIR registered in Crime No.40 of 2025 on the file of The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Hosur.
