[ RESPONDENTS ] PRAYER : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus to direct the the 2nd respondent to grant permanent status to the petitioners on completion 480 days in 24 calendar months from the date of their appointment in compliance of the order passed by the 1st respondent vide Case No.4337/2014 dt 21.5.2015 with all consequential benefits in the light of the order passed in W.P. No.5778/2014 dt 22.9.2014.

By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners seek for issuance of a writ of mandamus to comply and implement the order passed by the first respondent dated 21.5.2015.

3. It is not known whether the second respondent has challenged the said order by filing any appeal. According to the petitioners, no such challenge has been made and no notice has been received.

4. In case, the said order dated 21.5.2015, has not been challenged by the second respondent, it is always open to the petitioners to initiate appropriate action under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishment Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen Act, which will also include initiation of prosecution against the second respondent.
