O R D E R
The Civil Revision Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the XVII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.20487 of 2024 in D.V.C.No.64 of 2024, dated 16.04.2025, whereby the petitioner was directed to co-operate with the respondent for 1/4
opening of the locker and to ascertain the jewellery of the petitioner in the presence of the Bank Manager.
2. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the learned XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, it is open to him to prefer an appeal under Section 29 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court.
3. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the jurisdictional Sessions Court under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. It is made clear that the petitioner shall be entitled to exclude the time taken in prosecuting the present revision before this Court, namely, from 21.04.2025 till the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for the purpose of limitation. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
