Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.47/2020 passed by the second respondent on 15.09.2020 and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu viz., Ravi @ Mattu Ravi, son of Veerappa, aged about 35 years, who is now detained in Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set the detenu at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.47/2020 dated 15.09.2020, detaining her son as "Sand Offender" under Section 2(gg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.4790, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 06.11.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
