Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st to 5th respondents to consider the representations off the petitioner dated 04.03.2020, 02.06.2020 and 14.08.2020 to initiate appropriate action against the unauthorised and illegal construction put up by the 5th respondent in Plot No.188, comprised in Old S.No.420[part], TS.No70 & 85/2, Mogappair Village, bearing Plot No.188, Boppanna Venkatarathinam Street, Golden George Nagar, Nerkundram, Chennai 600 107 in accordance with law.

ORDER

(1)After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions, seeks the permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and also undertake to send an E-Mail to the Registry of this Court as to the withdrawal of the same. (2)The learned counsel also would pray that the petitioner may be permitted to invoke the provisions of the Right to Information Act to know the fate of his representations dated 02.06.2020 as well as 14.08.2020.

(3)The Court heard the submissions of Mr.K.Raja Srinivas, learned Standing counsel accepting notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.Karthik Rajan, learned Standing counsel accepting notice on behalf of the 4th respondent also. (4)In the light of the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn and the petitioner is granted liberty to invoke the provisions of the Right to Information Act to know about the fate of his representations dated 02.06.2020 and 14.08.2020 respectively. No costs.
