Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct respondents 3 and 4 herein to consider the petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2016 and 1.3.2017 and to take necessary action with regard to the encroachment made by the 5th respondent on the public road in the Yasin Khan 2nd Street, Pallavaram, Chennai.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the Respondent Nos.3 and 4 herein to consider the petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2016 and 1.3.2017 and to take necessary action with regard to the encroachment made by the fifth respondent on the public road at Yasin Khan 2nd Street, Pallavaram, Chennai.

2. Ms.Vasudha Thiyagarajan, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent Nos.1 to 3. Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent.

3. We direct the Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to cause a joint local inspection of the public road at Yasin Khan 2nd Street, Pallavaram, Chennai, within a fortnight and if any encroachment is found, the official respondents shall take action in accordance with law after putting on notice all concerned, particularly the fifth respondent before us, and conclude the proceedings within two months.
