2/4 representation submitted by the petitioners dated 05.05.2023 and 02.05.2023 for promoting the first petitioner J.Amalorpavamary to the post of Middle School Headmaster in the existing vacancy in Panchayat Union Middle School, L.N.Puram, Maduranthakam Union and further promoting the second petitioner M.Judes Mary to the post of B.T.Assistant (History) in the subsequent arising vacancy on promotion of first petitioner, as teachers already promoted to the post of Middle School Headmaster and B.T.Assistant and reverted as B.T.Assistant and Primary School Headmaster for want of vacancy, without reference to any promotion counselling, with all consequential and other attendant benefits within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 05.05.2023 and 02.05.2023 for promotion to the post of Middle School Headmaster and also as B.T.Assistant (History) in the existing vacancies respectively.
2. If the petitioners are to be promoted to an upgraded post, they should also accept the transfer to an equal post in any other place. The representations may be considered by the respondents on that ground within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioners must both be
3/4 prepared to accept the transfer to any other place and, on that ground, promotion may be granted to the respective promotive posts.
