PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 3 herein to initiate necessary actions and remove the encroachments made by respondents 4 to 6 herein in S.F.No. 520/1, measuring 1.94 acres (Odai Porambokku) situate at Kurukkapatti, Irupali Village, Edapadi Taluk, Salem District within a stipulated period.

O R D E R

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

2. The Government has issued an order in G.O. (Ms.) No.540, Revenue (LD6(2)) Department, dated 04.12.2014, for constitution of Redressal Committees to dispose of grievances relating to eviction of encroachments. The petitioner has made a representation to the second respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer on 30.03.2015 qua the encroachment in the Government land.

3. We, thus, dispose of the writ petition by directing the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 30.03.2015 in terms of the aforesaid Government Order. No costs.
