This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection during auction process.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that one Kamatchi has mortgaged her property with the petitioner and she defaulted in making payments. When the petitioner wanted to bring the property of the said Kamatchi to sale, one Selvam and one Shanmugam are interfering and preventing the petitioner from conducting public auction. In this regard, a complaint has been given by the petitioner, based on which, a petition enquiry in CSR.No.710 of 2017 is pending. The petitioner has also obtained an order dated 16.11.2017 in Crl.OP.No.24801 of 2017, in which, a direction was issued to the police to take appropriate action on his complaint dated 06.11.2017.

3. In such view of the matter, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct enquiry in CSR.No.710 of 2017 and take appropriate action and ensure that there is no violence at the time of auction.
