ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for offences punishable under Act V Sections 2, 21 (d),(e),(f),35, 35B and 36 of Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1982 in STOR No.1 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused entered into the reserve forest area and cut down red sanders worth about Rs.10,38,000/-. Hence the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate would submit that this is the second anticipatory bail application of the petitioner. If the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, he would tamper the witnesses and the trial would go delay. 5.Considering the gravity of offence and earlier petition was dismissed by this Court and there is no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
