Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2017 and issue the assignment patta in petitioner favour an extent of 2 acres comprised in Survey Number 58/7, Thirunarakundram Village, Ulundurpettai Taluk, Villupuram District.

Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 28.04.2017, wherein and whereby he sought for granting assignment Patta in his favour in respect of the land measuring to an extent of 2 acres, comprised in Survey Number 58/7, Thirunarakundram Village, Ulundurpettai Taluk, Villupuram District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that his request was not considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
