Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2015 in accordance with law and on merits and further direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's candidature for the post of Junior Training Officer in the Department of Employment & Training based on the petitioner's employment seniority of the year 1989 in future.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner would state that he is a Diploma Holder in Automobile Engineering and registered his qualification in the District Employment Exchange, Villupuram during the year 1989 vide Registration No.4185/2000 and the grievance expressed by the petitioner is that he was called

for an interview only on one occasion in the year 1993 and thereafter, no communication has been received from the Employment Exchange, transferring his name for any employment. It is the claim of the petitioner that juniors to him have been sponsored by the said Employment Exchange and in this regard, he has repeatedly sought information under the provisions of Right to Information Act, 2005 and no proper response is being forthcoming and he has also submitted a representation dated 02.06.2015 to the respondents 1 and 2 and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5 The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
