Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

A reading of the complaint reveals that, in respect of the incident that took place on 04.02.2011, complaint was given to the respondent-Police on 06.02.2015. Considering the delay in lodging the complaint and the nature of allegations contained therein, the prayer sought for by the petitioner, viz., directing the respondentPolice to register a case, cannot be granted. Consequently, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
