Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass appropriate order declaring successful completion of probation of the petitioner in the cadre of Junior Assistant from May, 1998 with all consequential monetary benefits as well as fixation of pay.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to pass appropriate orders declaring successful completion of probation of writ petitioner in the cadre of Junior Assistant from May 1998 with all consequential monetary benefits.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that the case of the writ petitioner was already recommended for declaration of probation. The proposal sent by the Block Development Officer, Panchayat Union, Thally in proceedings dated 12th May, 2013 to the District collector, Krishnagiri is enclosed in page no. 18 of the typed set of papers. In spite of the proposal sent by the Block Development Officer, in the year, 2013 no decision is taken by the respondents with regard to the declaration of probation of the writ petitioner, enabling him to get all his service benefits.
3. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 5th June, 2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However,there is no order as to costs.
