ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 77, 6. 24(1) Tobacco Act of IPC, in Crime No.522 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 7300 kg of banned tobacco products. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicles and he did not aware anything regarding the carrying of tobacco products in the said vehicles. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 7300 kg of banned tobacco products. He fuurther submits that the contraband was seized by the respondent police. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner has involved in very serious offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
