Ambedkar ..Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to initiate disciplinary/departmental proceeding against the 5th respondent and pass order within a time frame fixed by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.03.2021 and the communication of the 1st respondent vide Letter No.18180/Police.16/2021-1, dated 30.03.2021.

ORDER

1.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to initiate disciplinary/departmental proceeding against the 5th respondent and pass order within a time frame fixed by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.03.2021 and the communication of the 1st respondent vide Letter No.18180/Police.16/2021-1, dated 30.03.2021.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 16.03.2021 on merits within a stipulated time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials placed before it.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 16.03.2021, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
