O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representations made by the petitioner dated 18.08.2023, 24.04.2024 and 31.12.2024 and to take a decision within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property which belonged to the petitioner was resumed under Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1991. The petitioner submitted a representation to recall the said Government Order. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the representation made by the 2/5

petitioner on 31.12.2024 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
