ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by M.S.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner / father has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition, claiming that his daughter, who is aged about 20 years had gone missing, after he had given a complaint to the 2nd respondent police. which was registered in Crime No.328 of 2024 under the caption "woman missing"

2.When the matter was listed before this Court earlier on 13.06.2024, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's daughter, who is a major, had entered into a lawful marriage with one Devakumar and the same has been registered in S.No.5059 of 2024 dated 22.05.2024 before the Deputy Inspector General of Registration, Chennai.

3.The petitioner's daughter, who is a major and taken a conscious decision to get married to a person of her choice, who is also a major, and right now she is residing with her husband.

4.In this background, we do not find any illegality in the petitioner's choice to reside with her husband, and therefore, no effective orders can be passed to the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, this Court decides to close this petition. 5.This Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed accordingly. No costs.
