O R D E R
(This Case has been heard through Video Conferencing) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Crime No.710 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 400 liters of ID Arrack. Hence, this case has been registered.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner along with other accused were illegally transporting 400 litres of ID Arrack. He further submitted that there are four previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the nature of offence and bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
