By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner would state that he was appointed as a Watchman-cum-Sweeper through the Employment Exchange on consolidated pay, on 9.6.1997, and on 24.6.1999, he reported for duty. According to him, on 26.12.1997, the services of similarly placed persons like that of the petitioner, were regularized from the date of their initial appointment and so also in respect of the other persons, on 21.4.1999.
3.The petitioner would further state that as per G.O.Ms.No.121, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (ADW4) Department, dated 7.12.2012, the time scale of pay has also been given to the persons similarly placed, and in this regard, he has submitted a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representation dated 8.8.2015, to the respondents and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 4.The Court heard the submissions of Mr.C.Selvaraju, learned Senior Counsel, appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents.
5.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 8.8.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
