By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that her father Late K.M.Andavan was working as a Village Assistant in Gobichettipalayam Taluk, Erode District and he died in harness on 2.4.2008, leaving behind her mother, her elder sister, who is married, and the petitioner, who is a widow.

3.The petitioner would further state that she has passed X Standard and therefore, she is fully qualified for being given appointment of any suitable post in the services of the Government, on compassionate ground and her mother, immediately on the demise of her father, submitted an application seeking compassionate ground appointment and though she was assured of a job after an enquiry, no orders have been passed and further that her mother did not possess the minimum educational qualification viz. a pass in V Standard. 4.It is the claim of the petitioner that since she has passed SSLC and is also a widow, she is entitled to get compassionate ground appointment on the demise of her father, who died in harness, and in this regard, has submitted a representation to the respondent by furnishing all relevant particulars and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 5.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing

for the petitioner, and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent. 6.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation seeking compassionate ground appointment, which was acknowledged on 23.5.2011, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
