Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural Programme (Adalum Padalum) scheduled to be held on 09.06.2018 at Shri Pollachiamman Temple at No.30/4, Govinthasamy Street, Pollur Village, Thiruvannamalai District 606 803 by considering the petitioner representation dated 22.05.2018. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adalum Padalum) to be held on 09.06.2018 in connection with the festival at Shri Pollachiamman Temple situated at No.30/4, Govinthasamy Street, Pollur Village, Thiruvannamalai District 606 803. The petitioner has sent a representation by registered post to the respondent police on 22.5.2018. But it is not known whether he has pursued the matter to find out what is the stage of his representation. Merely sending a representation is not a ground to come to this Court seeking for mandamus. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
