ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to update the petitioner's details of patta for S.No.94/2 to an extent of 0.13.0 Hectare in the name of the petitioner's father namely Nanja Reddy.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the land in S.No.94/2 belongs to the petitioner's father late Mr.Nanja Reddy. After the death of his father, the petitioner has approached the authorities for making necessary changes in the patta. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is constrained to file the present writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the petitioner has not filed any appropriate application enabling the authorities to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.

4. It is needless to state that under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, the application is to be submitted in the prescribed format by following the procedures. In the event of submitting such application, the competent authority, under the Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, has to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. It is made clear that if there is any dispute that exist between the parties, the parties are bound to approach the Competent Civil Court of Law for the purpose of establishing their case. The petitioner is at liberty to submit an appropriate application in the manner known to law.

6. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
