ORDER

The petitioner seeks a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass appropriate order on the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2025 under the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules with regard to disbursement of family pension within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her father was employed as MT.CAP 10 Department and died due to illness on 27.10.1993, leaving behind his wife and daughters. The petitioner would submit that her mother was receiving the pension till her death and that, thereafter she became entitled to receive the family pension. She would further submit that her health condition worsened after Covid-19 and is unable to earn for her livelihood. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents dated 28.03.2025, requesting them to disburse the family pension. Since the said representation was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought in this writ petition, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
