By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The deponent of the affidavit, who is the first petitioner, would state that the petitioners have been working as Contract Labourers under the then Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) from various dates since 1994 onwards, continuously and uninterruptedly without any break and so far, their services have not been regularised in spite of the communication dated 7.8.2009, sent by the fifth respondent to the fourth respondent, who in turn, has to make a recommendation to the third respondent and since no orders have been passed, they came forward to file this writ petition.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners, would submit that the claim of the petitioners is squarely covered by the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Per B.P. (CHAIRMAN) No.9, Administrative Branch, dated 9.1.2008, and very many persons similarly placed, had approached this Court by filing W.P.Nos.29458 and 29461 of 2011, and this Court vide common order dated 14.8.2013, has directed the second respondent therein to consider their claim in the light of the above cited proceedings and prays for similar orders.

4.The Court heard the submissions of Mrs.R.Varalakshmi, learned Standing Counsel, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents, also.

5.Though the petitioners prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 3 to 5 to consider the claim of the petitioners in the light of the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Per B.P. (CHAIRMAN) No.9, Administrative Branch, dated 9.1.2008, and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
