Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural Programme (Adalum Padalum) scheduled to be held on 14.06.2018 at Shri Gengaiamman Temple at No.42, Venugopal Street, Mahamathupuram Village, Karungali Post, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District by considering the petitioner representation dated 28.05.2018.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adalum Padalum) to be held on 14.06.2018 in connection with the festival at Shri Gengaiamman Temple at No.42, Venugopal Street, Mahamathupuram Village, Karungali Post, Annaicut Taluk, Vellore District. The petitioner has sent a representation by registered post to the respondent police on 28.5.2018. But it is not known whether he has pursued the matter to find out what is the stage of his representation. Merely sending a representation is not a ground to come to this Court seeking for mandamus. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
