Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.12.2013 thereby to issue a patta in respect of the eastern portion of the land bearing plot No.10 Plot No.11 and 12 veerapandia Kattabomman Salai, formerly known as Kazhiveli Salai, Perungudi, Chennai-600 096 measuring 2915.5 Sq.feet in favour of the Petitioners.

The present writ petition is filed for a direction to consider the petitioner's application dated 23rd December, 2013 for issuance of patta in respect of the plot purchased by them bearing plot Nos.10 to an extent of 593.75 sq.ft., 11 to an extent of 1168.75 sq.ft. and 12 to an extent of 1153 sq.ft. comprised in Survey No.131 part situate at Kazhiveli Salai, now known as V.P.K.Salai, Perungudi Village, the then Tambaram Taluk, now Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. In respect of the same location, more specifically in respect of plot Nos.10, 11 and 12 purchased by B.Udhaya Britto, this Court passed an order on 20.11.2003 in WP.No.25093 of 2002. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that similar relief may be granted in this writ petition also.

3. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' application dated 23.12.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
