Heard Mr.M.V.Muralidaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. With the consent of either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner seeks to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2015 and thereby direct the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the "Cultural Programmes"in the Kaliyur Sakthi Mariamman Koil Temple Festival which is going to be held on 10.02.2015 and provide adequate police protection towards the same.
3. Consistently, this Court has declined to accede the prayer sought for in the Writ petition. This Court cannot direct the respondents to grant police protection or permission to conduct any cultural programme or dance programme, it is for the respondents/authority to consider the same in accordance with law.
