Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 23.01.2017.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2017 for the issuance of patta, the respondents, have not passed any orders so far. 4.

Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted that the appropriate authority to pass orders on the petitioner's representation is the Revenue Divisional Officer and the petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer for consideration.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, I give liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer for the issuance of patta and on the submission of the representation, the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to consider the same and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of submission of the representation.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
