Mr.R.Muniyapparaj Additional Public Prosecutor Assisted By Mr. M. Sylvester John for R1 to R3 Order (Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The prayer is for a mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner's father Arumugan, S/o Natarajan, a life convict, confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore.

2. The petitioner's plea for pre-mature release has already been rejected by the Government vide G.O.(D) No.439 Home(Prison-IVA) Department dated 09.04.2025, which order, according to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, has been furnished to the convict and his family, notwithstanding which, the petitioner has filed another representation in March, 2026 reiterating her request.

3. Hence, the appropriate course for the family of the convict/convict is to challenge the aforesaid Government Order dated 09.04.2025, for which purpose liberty is granted to them.

4. With this liberty, this Writ Petition and the connected Miscellaneous Petition are closed.
