Crl.O.P.No. 15380 of 2021 T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

This Court, by an order dated 02.03.2022 directed the Principal Sessions Judge, Tiruvannamalai to complete the trial in S.C.No.102 of 2021 within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Since the said case could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this court, the court below by letter dated 07.02.2024 sought for further extension of time. Hence, the matter is listed before this court today.

2. The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvannamalai has submitted a letter dated 07.02.2024 stating that further time extension of six months also completed on 13.12.2023 and now the case was posted for judgment on 23.02.2024. Therefore, he prayed to grant further extension time of two months to dispose of the case.

3. Considering the request of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvannamalai, this court is inclined to extend the time for the period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order to comply with the order of this court. However, time granted by this Court will not be extended after four weeks.
