ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 12.03.2025 bearing Application No.2025/0123/18/010466, seeking field boundary measurement of lands situated in Pazhayapattinam Village, comprising Survey Numbers 83/10A2A, 83/10B2A, 83/10C2A, 83/12, 83/13, 83/8A2A, 83/9A2A and 83/9B2A in accordance with law.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the land parcels viz., Survey No.83/12 bearing Patta No.1304, Survey No.83/13 bearing Patta No.1335, Survey Nos.83/10A2A, 83/10B2A, 83/10C2A, 83/8A2A, 83/9A2A and 83/9B2A bearing Patta No.1445 and the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the above said properties.

3.1. It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had taken out an application dated 12.03.2025 seeking field measurement of the petitioner's land and has also paid necessary fees. However, 2/5

the petitioner's application was not considered by the respondents till date, thus the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. On this being pointed out, the learned Government Advocate would submit that they would consider the petitioner's application dated 12.03.2025 and measure the subject property within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 12.03.2025 to measure the petitioner's property and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
