The petitioners in both Crl.Ops, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.04.2024 and 16.04.2024 respectively in Crime No.159 of 2024, for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 324, 307, 506(ii), 147, 148 and Section 4 of TNPPDL Act and subsequently altered into Sections 147, 148 341, 294(b), 324, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 302 of IPC read with Section 4 of TNPPDL Act seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they are no way connected with the alleged offence, whereas, they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioners are suffering incarceration from 13.04.2024 and 16.04.2024 respectively. He further submitted that, A1 in this case was detained under goondas Act. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to other petitioners.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection for granting bail to the petitioner stating that, petitioner, along with other accused, unlawfully assembled for rioting armed with deadly weapons, and they abused the de facto complainant and his father using filthy https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Sma language and also attacked with deadly weapons, and they also set fire to the vehicle belonging to the victim. He further submitted that, investigation in this case not yet completed. Hence, he prayed for dismissal of the petition.

4. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioners and that the investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
